Ruthless Bangor ease to victory

Bangor City scored two goals either side of half-time to cement their position in second place. Bangor’s very impressive start to the campaign continued. The Seasiders drop down to fifth position after two defeats in a week.

Bangor had key players missing for the game, most notably Damien Allen and Dan Nardiello but that didn’t seem to have any effect. The horrendous conditions favoured no side, but Bangor left worthy victors.

On an almost unplayable pitch, Bangor started the brighter, and took the lead in the ninth minute when Gary Roberts’ free-kick nestled into the top corner. Bangor doubled their advantage when Jamie Reed lofted the ball over Dominic Richards and found the bottom corner past the 30 minute mark.

After the break, it was more of the same for the all-blues. Sion Edwards capitalised on poor defending from Abersytwyth to slot the ball into the bottom corner. Bangor scored their fourth towards the latter stages when Gary Roberts coolly slotted his penalty into the bottom corner.
