Bridgend Street 3 Trethomas 3

A thriller at the Willows with the never say die attitude of the visitors earning them a share of the spoils in a 3-3 draw.

Street assumed control within twenty minutes with two quick fire goals. Richard Noyes’ Andy Leggesque throw ins caused havoc in the away side’s defence and the loose ball fell to Harry Burge, who rifled home his second in two games.

The move of the match came from a lovely crossfield ball by the skipper Fowler, which found Noyes on the left wing, who controlled and pinged in a beautiful pinpoint cross on to the head of Nicky Davison to power home a header to restore the two goal cushion.

Top scorer Davison had to leave the action with a pulled hamstring shortly after with Street looking well worth their half time lead.

Trethomas loooked a different team after the break and pulled one back through Leigh Ashman, only to see skipper Fowler extend the home teams lead as a result of another Noyes throw soon after.

Ashman doubled his tally soon after then with minutes remaining Jeff Griffiths snatched a deserved leveller, which crept in at the far post. Street had an opportunity to get the winner right at the death with Jeff White going close.

A satisfying point for the visitors then as they look forward to the arrival of Llanelli in the Welsh Cup and a certain Lee Trundle on Friday evening at their Bedwas home.
