Newport City’s joint-manager Ben Gifford has today departed the club by mutual termination.
He become manager of the club in the summer following Benjamin Hartley’s exit, he was then later joined by Pontypridd Town coach Sam Houldsworth, a month into the season.

Speaking to the official Newport City website, club Chairman Crawford Chalmers commented on his departure
I would like to place on record my thanks to Ben for his outstanding efforts during a transitional period for the club.
Everyone at Newport City would like to wish Ben well for the future.
He departs the club with Newport City sitting bottom of the Second Division. Newport City play their next fixture at home on Saturday against Croesyceiliog.
