BANGOR CITY SIGN HIGDON

Former Crewe Alexandra striker Michael Higdon has joined Welsh Premier League side Bangor City until the end of the season.

He most recently played at Vanarama National League side Tranmere Rovers, in which hes scored two goals in nine appearances for the Wirral based side. His contract was not renewed in the summer and he has been a free agent since.

The 33 year-old has been playing professional football since 2003 and enjoyed his best spell with Motherwell where he scored 40 goals in 72 appearances. He then later joined Dutch side NEC Nijmegen, scoring a respectable 14 goals in 32 appearances. His last club in the Football League were Yorkshire side Sheffield United.

The signing of Higdon boosts the Citizens attacking ranks with Jamie Reed, Daniel Nardiello, Oscar Durnin and Rodrigo Blanco already at the club.
