Former Bangor City loan-star Jordan Davies joined Sky Bet Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion from Wrexham today.
The Wales under-19 international had spent a majority of Phase One at Bangor City in which he earned rave reviews for his performances in the league. He also scored for Bangor this seasonn, with a fine strike against Cefn Druids in a 3-2 victory.
Davies had yet to make a first team appearance at Wrexham after his loan spell at Bangor was cut short but his performances at Nantporth have impressed Brighton scouts enough to sign him. He will go into Brighton’s U23 squad, where he will face a range of players, including those experienced and coming back from injury.
Davies’ previous manager Andy Legg paid tribute to the young full-back a few months back.
“I think the lad will be playing in the Premier League in two to three years, he’ll play for his country too.”
Bangor were interested in bringing Davies back to the club but their ‘substantial’ bid was rejected by Wrexham as reported by The North Wales Chronicle.
