Troy Greening Makes 100th Barry Appearance

Playmaker Troy Greening made his 100th appearance for Barry Town United during Saturday’s goalless draw with Cwmbran Celtic.

The 23 year-old who scored his first goal for Barry at Hengrove in 2013 has gone on to be a fantastic servant for the club.

Greening is also a former Newport County, and Merthyr Town player prior to joining Barry in the 2012/2013 season. The ex-schoolboy international was also named young player of the year in the 2014/2015 season, proving what an essential part of the team he can be.

Greening has scored 16 goals for Barry since joining from Newport County at the age of just 19, and after 10 months out injured has just retuned.

His goal for the remainder of this season will be to play a part in Barry’s bid to return to the Welsh Premier League, after a spell of 13 years out of the League following years of financial troubles after going into administration in the summer of 2013.
