Could victory over TNS re-energise MET’s season?
MET head into the game against TNS still without a win in Phase Two of the Welsh Premier League but could a win on Saturday give them a much-needed boost going into the remaining fixtures of the season?
Unlike in Phase One of the season, MET have yet to record a victory.
But that’s not to say MET can’t turn it around. Their home form during Phase One was impressive – six of MET’s nine wins have come at home, and they’ll be hoping they can make it seven when the Champions come to town on Saturday.
The New Saints already have the League wrapped up so it may act as an incentive for MET to go for it from the start, and they shouldn’t fear the Champions. They’ve competed well with Craig Harrison’s men in the two previous meetings earlier on in the season, and MET even took the lead in the first meeting between the two sides, before TNS eventually prevailed – winning 3-1.
In recent weeks MET’s season has threatened to die out, but a win against TNS on Saturday could bring a new lease of life to their season, and give them hope in their quest for European football.
