Brookwell extends stay with Caernarfon
Danny Brookwell has put pen to paper on a new deal at Huws Gray Alliance side Caernarfon Town.
The midfielder has been a firm fixture in the Canaries’ first team since joining in September 2015, making 63 appearances and scoring 18 goals.
The playmaker, who has previously turned out for Llanfairpwll and Glantraeth, has gained a reputation as one of the best players in the division, leading to reported interested from several teams in the Welsh Premier League.
However, he has now committed to another season at Caernarfon, much to the delight of boss Iwan Williams, who told the club’s official website: “Danny is your complete package, he’ll give you everything on the pitch and off it.
“His attitude and professionalism is second to none and he would run through a brick wall for me.
“The progress he’s made at the club thus far is unbelievable but that’s down to the type of character he is and the willingness he has to do well.
“I do though believe that Danny still has room to develop and we as a management team are very excited about the prospect of seeing him do that with us at the Oval.”
The news comes a week after fan favourite Darren Thomas also committed his future the club for another season, with boss Thomas confirming that his hopes that other key members of his squad can be tied down soon.
“I look at Darren signing as a statement of intent as we continue ongoing discussions with the rest of the squad and we have also identified new targets,” he added.
