Harrison linked with Hartlepool post
The New Saints boss Craig Harrison has been linked with the vacant managerial post at Hartlepool United, according to reports today.
Pools are without a manager after Dave Jones was dismissed from the role this weekend, after claiming just 13 points from a possible 51 that has left the side languishing in the League 2 relegation zone.
Jones was axed following a rant that has gone viral by Gillette Soccer Saturday host and Hartlepool fan Jeff Stellinf, demanding Jones’ departure. Stelling is rumoured to be a guest speaker at Harrison’s TNS this week.
It is no shock that Harrison has been touted for jobs in the Football League given his sucess with TNS. In six years in charge, the former Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough man has guided the club to six successive Welsh Premier League titles, and four Welsh Cups.
This season, the 39 year-old has only added to his list of credentials by guiding the club to a World Record 44 game win streak, surpassing previous holders Ajax on the way.
It was rumoured that Harrison was shortlisted for the post at Gateshead last season, but missed out on the chance at his hometown club.
However, he may have his opportunity in the Football League with Pools. But, it is likely the club won’t make any decision until their season is complete, as they try and stave off the drop with two games remaining.

Dunno why he’ll consider that job. His budget at TNS will be twice what it will be at the Chimp Chokers
