Pritchard leaves relegated Conwy Borough

Conwy Borough have announced that manager Brian Pritchard is to leave the club following their relegation to the Welsh Alliance League.

Pritchard was appointed as manager in November, replacing Will Ryder but unfortunately for Conwy, Pritchard was unable to keep the Tangerines in the Huws Gray Alliance.

The Conwy Borough board released a statement on their website this evening and already gave an indication in to what they will expect of the next manager, with the club looking to look more locally for a manager as well as player recruitment.

“With relegation to the Welsh Alliance likely to be confirmed next week, the club will be advertising the position with an emphasis on recruiting and basing the team more locally.

The club would like to place on record its thanks to Brian for his efforts during his time in the role and wish him all the best for the future.”

Conwy finished second from bottom this season, with 7 wins, 3 draws and 20 defeats to their name. Pritchard’s last involvement with the club was with relegation rivals Mold Alexandra in an entertaining 3-3 draw.
