Llanelli Town sign Afan Lido defender and Carmarthen attacker
Llanelli Town have secured the signings of centre-back Carlos Indjai and Bangladesh international winger Reasat Khaton.
Indjai replaces Llanelli Town defender Lee Bevan, who has joined Welsh League side Briton Ferry Llansawel.
28-year-old Khaton spent a majority of his career playing in the German lower league for clubs like Freiburg, Hes. Kassel II, FSC Lohfelden, VfB Marburg and Seligenporten, before a brief move to Philippines side Pachanga Diliman.
He then returned to Germany to play for SV Kaufungen 07. It was in the summer of 2017 that Khaton joined Northern Irish League side Carrick Rangers. Just six months later, he moved to Welsh Premier League side Carmarthen Town.
In his career, he scored a total of six goals in 27 appearances in the fifth tier of German football.
Llanelli Town manager Andy Hill said to the official website on the signing of Khaton: “I’m looking forward to working with someone of Reasat’s experience, he showed great character last season at Carmarthen, along with great quality”
Indjai has previous playing experience for the reserves of Afan Lido, as well as Dinas Powys and Llantwit Major. Overall, he made just over 50 appearances for Afan Lido.
“I am looking forward to playing in a higher league against great teams,” said Indja to LlanelliTownAFC.co.uk
It’s a new challenge that will help me become a better player, I am looking forward to it and hopefully, I can help the team achieve the goals that have been set for the coming season.”
Former Swansea City and Port Talbot Town winger James Loveridge recently committed himself to the Reds.
