Wrexham midfielder Leo Smith has joined Welsh Premier League side Llandudno on loan.
Smith will spend six months at Maesdu Park, playing under manager Iwan Williams.
The 20-year-old links up with former Wrexham players Kai Edwards and George Harry.
He is eligible to make his debut for the Seasiders in their second fixture of the season, against Carmarthen Town at Richmond Park.
Dragons boss Sam Rickeets added: “I am looking at getting Leo out to play some games at a good level. We have had an excellent start to the campaign with players retaining their places. “
“I’m really looking forward to going out and playing for Llandudno on loan. It should be an excellent opportunity for me,” said Smith to WrexhamAFC.co.uk.
“I know George (Harry) and Kai (Edwards) who were both at Wrexham a few years ago.
I also know Zebb and Zyaac, Kai’s brothers who play for Llandudno and the manager is from my hometown, so slotting in should be no problem.”
The Porthmadog youngster is a Wrexham academy product and has had previous playing experience in the Vanarama National League.
He’s made 26 appearances for Wrexham, scoring once in the league.
“Leo will come in and add competition in the middle of the park which is something we’ve been looking to address,” said Iwan Williams on the signing of Smith to LlandudnoFC.co.uk
He’s a naturally fit lad with bags of energy, he has a pass in him and an eye for goal.
He also possesses a bit of bite which will certainly prove vital given how tough the JD Welsh Premier League is so fits the profile really well for us here at Llandudno.”
