Barry Town United will host this seasons Nathaniel MG Cup Final between Cambrian & Clydach Vale and Cardiff Metropolitan.

It will be played on the 19th January 2019, with a scheduled 19:30 kickoff, which will be broadcast on S4C.

It’s the first time that Jenner Park Stadium will host the final. It’s the second South Walian based final in two years, after The New Saints 4-0 win over Barry was played at Cyncoed Campus.

The Archers will make make the short 11 mile trip from Cyncoed to Barry, whilst Cambrian will travel a further nine miles than the students.

The competition will have a guaranteed South Walian winner for the first time in four years. With Carmarthen Town bearing Bala Town on penalties in the 2013/2014 season.

It is Cambrian’s first ever time that they’ve played in the final. Both sides have never won the competition, guaranteeing that a new name will be engraved on the trophy this season.  It is the first time in the competition that the semi-final draw was non regionalised, allowing both South Walian based sides Cambrian and Cardiff Met to reach the final.

Cambrian & Clydach Vale shocked the Welsh domestic scene by beating nine time champions The New Saints in extra time. Cardiff Metropolitan reached second consecutive final after an Adam Roscrow goal against the Connah’s Quay Nomads.

Ticket prices will be priced at £7 for adults, £3 for Senior Citizens and Citizens and £1 for U16’s.

Competition sponsors Nathaniel MG who are based in Bridgend and with a showroom in Cardiff have sponsored the Cup for the last three years. They recently extended their sponsorship of the competition to the 2021/2022 season.
