Pontypridd Town has strengthened their squad with the additions of four new players as Dean Clifford, Lee Baldock, Paulo Marenghi and Taylor Harding all join.

Dean Clifford, Lee Baldock, Paulo Marenghi and Taylor Harding have all joined the club as Gavin Beddard puts his stamp on to his Pontypridd side.

All four players made their debut for Pontypridd in the defeat to Haverfordwest County last Saturday and join a Pontypridd side which has suffered a number of injuries in recent weeks.

Baldock who is predominantly a left-back spent most of his career with Barry Town United, where he spent a total of six seasons

Clifford is a forward and could replace forward Luke Gullick for the time being, following the Ponty forward’s hamstring injury that he picked up against Haverfordwest County on Saturday.

The Cardiff born forward began his career before playing for clubs like Pentwyn Dynamo, Taffs Well, Pontyclun, Cardiff Corries and Caerau Ely.

25-year-old Harding had previously been on the books of South Wales Alliance League side Sully Sports before moving to Pontypridd. Harding plays mostly as a right-back.

The former Barry and Carmarthen defender has a total of 12 appearances in the Welsh Premier League, last playing in the top flight of Welsh football in 2015.

Pontypridd’s next game is tomorrow evening when they host Division One league leaders Penybont at Leckwith Stadium in their final home game of 2018. They then play Undy Athletic at The Causeaway next week.
