RECAP: Barry Town United v Cardiff Metropolitan

Barry Town United host Cardiff Metropolitan in their final home game at Jenner Park of the year.

The Dragons secured their top six spot with a narrow win over Caernarfon Town on Saturday evening.

Cardiff Metropolitan were handed a heavy defeat by league leaders Connah’s Quay.

Barry can go top of the league for at least a few hours with an early kick-off scheduled at Jenner Park, following a floodlight failure. They can overtake the Connah’s Quay Nomads who entertain Bala Town.

The last meeting between the two sides was in a Europa League play-off semi-final in which Cardiff Metropolitan ran out comfortable winners.

Last season’s festive fixtures between the two saw Barry Town narrowly win at Jenner Park thanks to Luke Cooper, whilst Cardiff Metropolitan won the return fixture at Cyncoed Campus.
