Is this the best changing room in the Welsh Football League? Caerau Ely reveal swanky new dressing room

Welsh Football League side Caerau Ely have showcased the improvements the club are making by refurbishments to their ground. 

As the club prepares club and ground improvements to help obtain the Tier Two Licence. Caerau re one of nine Welsh League Division Two clubs who have applied for the licence as they aim to become a part of the first-ever FAW Championship South. should they get promoted?

The Young Guns have shown off their new changing room. With each first team player given a booth of his own and a name card above the club have gone all out to make it as accommodating as possible for the home players.

The plans were put in place by club Chairman Mark Rees who personally designed and created the modern-look changing room.

They debuted yesterday in Ely’s first home game of the New Year when they beat Dinas Powys to continue an unbeaten run at their Cwrt-yr-Ala Road home.

Commercial Manager Mike Jones said: “We would like to thank the WGI for their help and contribution.  Another big thank you to Paul Carey at S C Promotions for all the help with the fantastic signage which has really finished the room off. 

“Lastly, we owe a massive debt of gratitude to Mark Rees our Chairman and Main Sponsor for his vision and design and more importantly the funding which without his help we would not have got any of these improvements off the ground.

“We will continue to build and prepare for the time when the opportunity to play at the highest level becomes a reality.”

This is not the only groundwork that Caerau have done this season with the Cardiff West club erecting a new stand over the last few months.

The Young Guns were relegated from Division One last season, having failed to obtain the Tier Two licence, as well as finishing in a lowly position.

But having seen a number of the clubs academy players return to the club, Caerau Ely are now sixth in the table and firing.
