Plenty of Scottish football fans are angry at Welsh side Nomads reaching Irn-Bru Cup final
Scottish football fans have taken to social media to show their displeasure after Welsh side Connah’s Quay Nomads reached the Scottish Challenge Cup final.
Scotsman Andy Morrison led the 2018/2019 Welsh Cup winners to the Final on Saturday after they beat fourth-tier Edinburgh City on penalties.
The Deeside club are the first non-Scottish club to reach the final of the competition after the SPFL opened up the Cup to non-Scottish sides three seasons ago.
The Nomads are now in contention for three competitions. They currently lead the Welsh Premier League and are in the Quarter-Finals of the JD Welsh Cup.
Please beat them for the love of scottish football

Absolute joke of a tournament these days 😂😂 NEED to and MUST get rid of colt sides and teams outwith Scotland before the painfully slow strangulation of this cup kills it completely ⚰️

However, there was an alternative view that the addition of teams like Connah’s Quay have improved the stature of the competition after their inclusion.
unpopular opinion it seems but the invited teams have added to the cup- not taken away. Well done Nomads
