Paul Fairclough names England C squad to take on Wales C next month

England C manager Paul Fairclough has named his squad for the upcoming International Challenge Match against Wales next month.

England host Wales at Salford City’s Peninsula Stadium in the second meeting between the two sides after the Three Lions narrowly beat Mark Jones’ side at Jenner Park Stadium.

Striker Fejiri Okenbahirie netted a hat-trick at Jenner Park Stadium and later earned a move to Football League outfit Shrewsbury Town. Wales C captain Connell Rawlinson also moved to the professional game, leaving Welsh Premier League champions The New Saints for Port Vale.

Fairclough has named a squad of 16 for the upcoming match on Tuesday, March 19th.

Only four players who played in last years fixture remain. They are Dan Jones, Laurence Maguire, Ryan Croasdale and James Hardy.

England’s decision making is based on being able to choose players under the age of 23, who feature for National League clubs and below.

England squad:

Goalkeepers: Ryan Huddart (Boreham Wood), Ben Killip (Braintree Town)

Defenders: Marvin Ekpiteta (Leyton Orient), Daniel Jones (Barrow), Laurence Maguire (Chesterfield), Jon Mellish (Gateshead), Luke Trotman (Darlington)

Midfielders: Ryan Croasdale (AFC Fylde), James Hardy (AFC Fylde), Greg Olley (Gateshead), Thomas Walker (Salford City) Edward Williams (Kidderminster Harriers)

Forwards: Brandon Goodship (Weymouth), Luke James (Hartlepool United), Josh Koroma (Leyton Orient), Alfie Pavey (Dover Athletic)
