Montgomery Town have won the Mid Wales League Division Two title following their convincing victory over Aberystwyth University.
The Powys based side won 14 straight games to claim the title, leaving a 14 point gap over nearest placed Hay St Mary’s.
It is the second time they have won the Division after their success in 2010/2011, where they achieved 59 points from 24 games.
They lost just once that season, scoring over 100 goals. This season they’ve scored 67 goals and have lost one more game than that season.
It is a return to the Mid Wales League Division One, after their relegation in 2016/2017 after finishing bottom.
Luke Williams side can now prepare for life in the top flight of Mid Wales football early, following their triumpth.
Congratulations from Mid Wales League clubs poured in to Montgomery Town after their league title success.
