Social media was plastered with Barry Town United content yesterday as the Dragons beat Bala Town 5-2 to secure a European spot.
It looked like Gavin Chesterfield’s side would have to do it the hard way just before the 60th minute after going two goals down.
However, five goals in 26 minutes, including a brace from hometown hero Kayne McLaggon made for a historic day.
Social media users, including players of the club and the Welsh football community on a whole, took to social media to share their thoughts.
Brilliant result for @BarryTownUnited today. A club rightly back in Europe after being thrown out of league a few years ago. Full credit to @BarryTownSC and @Gavchesterfield. Barry, the Vale & Wales are hugely proud of what has been achieved.
