Former Aberystwyth Town assistant manager Tony Pennock is favourite to take over non-league side Yeovil Town.

Pennock has become odds-on-favourite to succeed interim boss Neale Marmon, who left the club following the Glovers relegation.

The 48-year-old joined Aberystwyth as Assistant Manager in April 2017 and was later appointed manager before returning to Hull City in June 2017, after less than a month in charge.

A report from Hull Live say Pennock is under consideration by Yeovil, who are keen to get a new boss in.

He is the favourite at 4/5 with Bet Victor, but former Wales Under 21 boss Geraint Williams is also in contention at 4/1.

Pennock’s playing career saw him play for Aberaman Athletic, Carmarthen Town, Neath Athletic and Port Talbot Town in his time in the Welsh pyramid system.

He began his managerial career with Port Talbot in 2007, having guided the Wales semi-pro team to second in the four Nations Semi-Pro tournament.

After a year in charge of Port Talbot Town, he joined the coaching staff at Swansea.

In 2014, he moved to Hull to manage the Academy, before being promoted to first team coach.

Pennock now works alongside former Welsh Premier League manager Nigel Adkins, who won the league title with Bangor City.
