RECAP: Maesteg Park promoted after sweeping aside Ynysybwl

Maesteg Park and Ynysybwl battle it out at Penybont’s KYMCO Stadium for a place in the South Wales Alliance League.

Both sides won their semi-finals in Cardiff on Saturday and now travel to Bridgend for the final.

The winner of the match will be guaranteed a place in the South Wales Alliance League, whilst the loser could still be promoted as they are guaranteed one more fixture.

Maesteg Park beat Cardiff Combination League side Fairwater 3-2 to at Cwrt-yr-Ala Road, Steffan Roberts’brace and Kyran Steadman’s insurance goal was enough to fend off a late charge from Fairwater.

Ynysybwl comfortably made their way to the final in the first play-off of the day at Bridgend St by beating Penygraig United.
