Will Fuller: Forget the money, Europe will be unforgettable experience

Penalty shoot-out hero Will Fuller says the experience of playing European football will be an unforgettable experience.

Cardiff Met’s number one plans to savor the moment of reaching Europe for the first time.

The club will receive a £193,000 windfall from qualifying for Europe, however money isn’t on the mind of the Met goalkeeper.

Fuller who battled back from a lengthy injury to don the gloves in the latter part of the season, is expected by the prospect of playing in Europe.

However, this is a unique situation for Fuller, who will be playing on the European stage with fellow students, who he has been with for some time.

The former Ipswich Town youth said: “Forget the money, it’ll be an experience none of us will forget.”

“To do it with this group of boys who I’m with day in day out and spend hours training with, living an socialising with. It’s unbelievable.”

“It’s ridiculous the journey we’ve been on. If you told us when we turned up at University that we’d go from Division Three into Europa League, I don’t think many of us would have believed that to be honest.”

He said emotionally. “We’ve done it, we’re there.”

Eliot Evans had cancelled Henry Jones’s opener for Bala Town before both sides were denied by the woodwork twice and Fuller says that the game could have gone either way.

“It’s all a bit of a whirlwind. A game where we could have had goals at either end, people have hit bars. We’ve gone the full length.”

“That feeling when Els strikes one home, it’s hard to describe.”

The 25 year old was also full of praise for the work done behind the scenes.

“We did the homework, we’re so lucky we’ve got the Sports Analysis boys today working in the labs.”

“Week to week putting these videos together. It’s moments like that pay off so credit to them.”

“I was studying the bottle put together which has got names and directions on what to do on it.”
