Bangor City trio Farleigh, Parry and Williams depart for Championship

Jacob Farleigh, Robbie Parry and Mike Williams have both today left Bangor City for the FAW Championship. 

The Bangor City trio left the club today, following Alex Boss out of the exit door after he joined Aberystwyth Town.

Youngster Farleigh and former TNS winger Robbie Parry have joined Llandudno whilst Mike Williams has joined Colwyn Bay. 

Farleigh leaves the Citizens to join Llandudno, becoming Matthew Jones’ eight signing. 

Llandudno have been busy in recruitment, signing no fewer than eight new players, alongside club captain Danny Hughes who committed his future to the club. 

Speaking to LlandudnoFC.co.uk, Seasiders boss Matty Jones said: “Jacob is yet another signing that demonstrates the direction we’re moving in.”

“He is technically gifted and had a very good year at Bangor last season. I’m really excited to start working with him.”

The former TNS winger Farleigh explained his delight in his move to Llandudno: 

“I’m buzzing to join the club. I can’t wait for this new challenge and we’ll all hopefully get the club back where it belongs.”

Llandudno are expected to make more movement on the transfer front according to the club’s official website.

Elsewhere, experienced defender Mike Williams has left the club to also to head to the Conwy area.

The former Wales U21 defender decided against staying at the club, joining FAW Championship new boys Colwyn Bay.

Upon his departure, Williams said on social media: “I would like to thank everyone at @bangorcityfc… under difficult circumstances I enjoyed my time there and hopefully helped some of the young lads who stepped up and did the club and themselves proud.”

Williams played alongside Wales stars Gareth bale and Aaron Ramsey, before a spell in non-league football with Kidderminster harriers. 

Manager Craig Hogg said to ColwynBayFC.co.uk: “”Its more good news. Mike is a local living in Old Colwyn and is someone I know very well.

“He is a leader, a quality defender and another good addition to the club. 

 “He possesses a great mix of both Football League, Welsh pyramid and European football experience and those are qualities that will be very important for us going in out next campaign.

“I’m pleased we’ve been able to agree on terms and am really looking forward to working with him at the Bay.”

Farleigh is joined at Llandudno by former TNS teammate Robbie parry. Parry rejoins the club for a second spell after spending time on loan at the club. 

Parry, formerly on the books of Liverpool, Stoke and Wolves had an abundance of experience in the Welsh Premier League.

Upon signing for the club, Parry said: “I’m excited for the team that the manager is putting together with young local lads who will want to fight to get the club back where it belongs.

“I’m really hoping that it will be an entertaining season for everyone involved.”
