Cardiff Metropolitan to play at Leckwith Stadium

Cardiff Metropolitan are to play their UEFA Europa League qualifier at Leckwith Stadium.

They along with Barry Town United will play their home Europa League qualifier.

Both sides are used to a 3G surface, but instead, the Leckwith Stadium pitch is grass

Last season it was briefly used as the home team for Pontypridd Town before the Dragons moved to Aberdare Town’s Aberaman Park.

It is the home stadium of the Cardiff City U23s, U18s and Women’s sides. Most recently it held the Wales Women’s senior international against New Zealand

Both Barry and Cardiff Met will find out their UEFA Europa League opponents when the preliminary round draw takes place tomorrow.
