South Wales Alliance League confirm league lists as League runs with forty-six

The South Wales Alliance League will run with forty-six teams this season.

The Premier Division and Division One will continue to run with 16 teams in each division, however, Division Two will run with two less, with only 14 teams competing in the Division this season.

Both Caerau and Ely Rangers were relegated from the Welsh Football League last season. Ynyshir Albions went up as Premier Division champions.

Cwm Welfare and Ton & Gelli’s relegation to Division One has been confirmed. They were to be joined by Pontlottyn, although they have now folded

Brecon Corries left the Premier Division as they rejoined the Mid Wales South League, following than half a century of exile.

Blaenrhondda’s fourth promotion in as many years was confirmed, alongside title winners Porthcawl Town Athletic and FC Cwmaman.

Joining Cwm Welfare and Ton Gelli in Division One are promoted trio Aberfan Social, Cogan Coronation and Llanrumney United.

Only Llangynwyd Rangers were relegated from Division One, their second consecutive relegation.

AFC Bargoed and Carnetown have been relegated from the South Wales Alliance League, whilst AFC Wattstown have been given a reprieve. Tynte Rovers, despite finishing 12th in Division Two and a point off safety, folded as a club.

Canton Rangers, Maesteg Park and Tata Steel United’s promotion have been confirmed, following their playoff victories.
