Newport County’s Momodou Touray could be allowed to leave on loan again.

The 19-year-old spent last season on loan at Barry Town United last season.

Touray won the Welsh Premier League’s Young Player of the Year after scoring 13 goals in 31 League appearances.

The South Wales Argus says Touray and fellow Academy graduate Lewis Collins could leave the club on loan again, as the Ambers look for a new striker in the market.

Last month, Gavin Chesterfield revealed he made an attempt to sign Touray on loan for a second consecutive season.

“There was potential at one point but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen now.

“You’ve got to look at your role. Our role was to give a talented young man an opportunity to play football and he earned it.

The Wales Under-21 international has been around the first team this pre-season for County and was present in their 1-0 victory over Shrewsbury Town in midweek.
