Aberystwyth Town complete signing of trio

Aberystwyth Town have signed three players ahead of the new season.

Steff Edwards and Stuart Jones return to Aber, whilst Edmilson Pedro Vaz has joined the Mid Wales club.

Portuguese midfielder Edmilson joins from the fourth tier of Portuguese football, from Atletic Clube Malveira. Last season he made 11 appearances, scoring one goal. The 23-year-old has also featured for Jura Sud of France four seasons, as well as Sintrense of the Portuguese Leagues.

Edmilson had been on trial with the club this pre-season. He joins up with fellow Portugal native Paulo Mendes.

Edmilson’s move is subject to international clearance as Aberystwyth hope to conclude the deal.

Another recruit is Stuart Jones, who joins from Bala Town. The 35-year-old  rejoins the Black & Greens after his departure in 2012.

During his time away, Jones spent three years with the Lakesiders, playing in two Europa League campaigns, as well as a Welsh Cup win.

Committing to Aberystwyth for another season is Steff Edwards, who was with Aberystwyth last season.

All three players could feature this Saturday. The Black and Greens begin their competitive season this weekend against Cambrian & Clydach Vale in the Nathaniel MG Cup.
