Ben Cabango: Former New Saints loanee makes Swansea debut
Former New Saints loanee Ben Cabango made his first senior start for Swansea City this evening.
The Swans came from behind to defeat Northampton in the Carabao Cup after a late push from Andre Ayew and George Byers.
Cabango featured in the whole match as he featured alongside Wales international Declan John.
The 19-year-old played 16 times for TNS last season, earning a Cymru Premier winners medal.
He later returned to the Swans, where he made seven appearances for their Under-23s side.
The Wales Under-21 international had reported interest from Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg in April.
Elsewhere, Adam Roscrow for a second time was an unused substitute AFC Wimbledon, in their penalties defeat to MK Dons.
Former Aberystwyth Town striker Tom Bradshaw scored his first-ever Millwall goal as they knocked out West Bromwich Albion.
Another ex Aber striker in Alex Samuel was also on the scoresheet, scoring in Wycombe Wanderers’ penalties defeat to Reading.
Former Rhyl loanee goalkeeper Owen Evans scored the decisive spot-kick for Macclesfield Town, as they knocked out Blackpool on penalties.
