Ruthin Town: Chris Hardy appointed as new first team manager

Ruthin Town have swiftly appointed Chris Hardy as successor to Chris Williams.

Williams, who resigned on Sunday, will be replaced by assistant manager Chris Hardy.

Hardy, accepted the role following three years at the club where he has coached the Reserves side.

He was placed as caretaker manager following Williams’ resignation but the Cymru North side have moved quickly to appoint a successor to Williams.

“I’m extremely honoured and excited to take on this role as first team manager,” tweeted Hardy.

“I’m looking forward to carrying on the great work that’s been done by Chris Williams over the past three seasons and I can’t thank him enough for his advice and guidance.”

Williams will remain at Ruthin, despite his resignation, after being registered as a player.

Hardy begins his tenure as the clubs new manager away at Penrhyncoch on Saturday.
