Wales: Aaron Ramsey withdraws from squad for upcoming Euro qualifier

Aaron Ramsey has withdrawn from the Wales squad for the upcoming qualifier against Azerbaijan. 

The 28-year-old will now miss the home qualifier against Azerbaijan and the friendly fixture against Belarus.

Manchester United youngster Dylan Levitt has been called up in his place.

Ramsey has yet to feature competitively for Juventus, since moving from Arsenal., having been left out of the squad for their opener against Parma.

The Welshman has had just 20 minutes of first-team action, playing in a 1-0 pre-season game against Triestina.

He has yet to feature in Wales’ European Championship qualifying campaign, having misses matches against Croatia, Hungary and Slovakia. 

His last appearance for Wales was a 1-0 defeat to Albania, where he played just 34 minutes. Ramsey’s last competitive fixture for Wales was in November 2018, a 2-1 defeat to Denmark in the UEFA Nations League.
