RECAP: Fairwater cruise into Round Two of Welsh Cup
Aberystwyth Exiles and Fairwater do battle in the first qualifying round of the JD Welsh Cup.
Both sides have entered the competition for a second consecutive season. The Welsh Cup is guaranteed to have a Cardiff Combinations League side in Round Two of the competition, following the draw.
Last season, both sides suffered heavy defeats to Welsh League opposition. Fairwater tasted a 6-0 defeat to Chepstow Town whilst Aberystwyth Exiles suffered an 8-1 defeat to Treharris Athletic Western.
Neither side has began their league season yet, but Fairwater lost the Super Cup to Cathays Conservatives last week.
