Connah’s Quay: Nomads draw Scottish Championship side Partick Thistle

Connah’s Quay will play Partick Thistle in the next round of the Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Cup. 

The tie will take placed on the weekend of October 12th, with the fixture subject to television selections.

The Nomads defeated Scottish League Two leaders Cove Rangers at the Deeside on Saturday, to progress to Round Four. 

Partick Thistle defeated Montrose to set up the clash with the Nomads.

Thistle are managed by former Wigan Athletic defender Garry Caldwell and have former New Saints defender Steven Saunders in their ranks. Ex- Cardiff City striker Kenny Miller also features for the Jags.

Elsewhere, Welsh side Wrexham were handed a second consecutive home tie, as they take on St Mirren Colts at the Racecourse Ground.
