Andy Morrison is now the favourite with one bookmaker to become Wrexham’s next manager.

The Connah’s Quay Nomads manager has shot up to firm favourite for the managerial hot seat.

And Paddy Power are offering odds of 5/4 for the former Manchester City defender to be named as Bryan Hughes’s successor at the Racecourse Ground.

Morrison has been with the Nomads for almost four years, achieving Welsh Cup success in 2017.  In each full season, the Nomads have played European football under the stewardship of Andy Morrison.

Scott Ruscoe – currently the manager of The New Saints – is the fifth favourite for the job at odds of 7/1 with Paddy Power.

Craig Harrison – who works with favourite Andy Morrison at Connah’s Quay as the first-team coach is the sixth favourite at 12/1. Harrison previously managed Hartlepool United in the Vanarama National League.

Former Wales defender Danny Gabbidon is at 25/1. Gabbidon briefly coached Cardiff City alongside Scott Young in a caretaker role.

Robbie Savage is the furthest out in the betting odds. The ex Derby County midfielder hasn’t managed at senior level before.
