Cefn Druids could be set for some major investment according to reports.

The investment will aim to make Cefn Druids a European regular, as well as developing local players from the academy.

Two members of the Druids backroom staff will take up full-time roles with the club.

Dave Jones of North Wales Sport says that two local companies will put their resources together to support the Druids.

Global Travel Worldwide in Wrexham and Complete Sports Solutions in Chester will come together to sponsor the Druids. Jamie Digwood and Des Williams are the two men involved, both with a sporting background.

From Dave Jones report, a source close to the club said: “It has been a fraught few weeks inside the club with no one knowing exactly what’s going on.

“What we now know, the volunteers and staff are really excited that the sponsors and investors are now starting to restore this magnificent football club to its rightful position, securing its future for the fans, the loyal club staff, and the players.”

Druids boss Huw Griffiths looks set to the a full-time role as the sporting director, whilst Jayson Starkey will also make the transition.

Ancients chairman John Hughes will be part of the scouting and recruitment network, which has already seen them sign Zimbabwe international Alec Mudimu.

A fitness centre and hotel could be built near The Rock and the club has plans to increase the capacity of their stand to reach Europa League regulations.
