Cardiff next manager: Latest odds as former Barry midfielder Mike Flynn is listed

Former Undy manager Michael Flynn has been listed by bookmakers as a potential candidate to replace Neil Warnock at Cardiff City.

Cardiff City are the search for a new manager after Warnock’s shock departure from the Cardiff City Stadium.

Flynn – in charge of Newport County since 2017 – is  8/1 favourite with bookmaker Bet Victor

The 39-year-old – who scored for Barry Town in the UEFA Champions League – was playing at Undy Athletic, before being appointed manager of Newport.

Flynn has guided Newport to numerous impressive Cup runs in the English FA Cup.

Fellow Welshman Nathan Jones is 20/1 after leaving Sky Bet Championship club Stoke City. Jones previously played for Maesteg Park and Ton Pentre – after his release from Cardiff City. 

Former Bangor City manager Nigel Adkins, who left Hull City in June – is 16/1 favourite.

Pulis – who began his playing career with Newport YMCA – is also shortlisted with the same odds as Nathan Jones.

Current Cardiff Metropolitan manager Christian Edwards is an outside candidate in the betting odds. He is listed as 33/1 with Sky Bet. 

Former Wales national team managers Chris Coleman and Mark Hughes are both 25/1. 

Craig Bellamy, 40, is also listed as a potential candidate with 20/1 odds. The former Wales captain is currently coaching at Belgian outfit R.S.C. Anderlecht.
