Hood made 55 appearances in all competitions for Barry, scoring 16 goals.

“Jon’s departure has been something both Jon and the club have planned for since the summer,” said manager Gavin Chesterfield to BarryTownFC.co.uk

“Whilst we’re sad to lose both his talent as a footballer and his character off the field, he goes with our blessing for his new adventure in Australia.

“Jon has been fantastic for us since we signed him two years ago and I wish him nothing but the best for the future

“We thank Hoody for all his contributions in a Barry shirt and wish him the very best of luck in his new journey.
