Cardiff City 3-1 Cardiff Metropolitan: Holders exit Cup as Bluebirds stun Archers

Cup holders Cardiff Metropolitan suffered a shock exit to Cardiff City at Leckwith Stadium in the FAW Women’s Cup.

Kate Jeremiah and Zoe Atkins gave the Bluebirds a two-goal lead before Catherine Walsh converted a forty-second minute penalty.

Met captain Robyn Pinder was red carded to further dampen the Archers evening.

A hobbling Erin Murray pulled a consolation goal back for the Met, but had to accept an early exit from the Cup.

Cardiff City await the winners of Llandudno and Abergavenny.
