Llandudno Albion and Penydarren BGC to contest FAW Trophy final
Llandudno Albion and Penydarren BGC will meet at Latham Park in the final of the FAW Trophy.
Newtown’s Latham Park will host the two sides on April 18, after both sides reached the final for the first time in the competition’s 25 year history.
North Walian side Llandudno Albion beat Holyhead Hotspur 4-3 on penalties at Bala Town’s Maes Tegid to reach the final.
The Welsh Alliance League side have been in existence for just six years.
Penydarren BGC will meet Paul Cheung’s men in the final after avoiding an upset, after beating Baglan Dragons 3-1 at Cyncoed Campus.
Kerry Mullins’ side came from behind after Tom Randall’s opener to defeat the fifth tier side.
Josh Brogden brought Penydarren level, before Chris Colvin-Owens and Ricky Jones secured the tie for the Merthyr side.
