World Cup of picturesque grounds final: Cae Sling crowned World Cup winner

Penmaenmawr Phoenix’s Cae Sling has been voted the most picturesque ground in Wales by voters of Y Clwb Pêl-Droed. 

Following a 64-team World Cup which had two group stages as well as the knockouts, it was Glenn Wilson’s photo of Penmaenmawr Phoenix which came out on top.

The World Cup ran from April 24 to May 12 and now  the North Walian club can add a World Cup to their achievements. 

They defeated RTB Ebbw Vale’s Hilltop Stadium which fought valiantly but defeated by the Welsh Alliance League side.

More than 60,110 visitors visited the World Cup article alone, highlighting how competitive it was.
