The 2019/20 Cymru South Team of the Season – as chosen by you

After weeks of voting, the readers of Y Clwb Pêl-Droed have named their Cymru South ‘Team of the Season’

A total of 5096 votes were cast as you voted for your favourite players in the leagues inaugural season.

Despite their success, there is no representation from Swansea University.

Briton Ferry Llansawel, Cambrian & Clydach Vale, Haverfordwest County and Llanelli Town make up most of the squad with two players from each club.

Taking his place between the sticks is former Barry Town United goalkeeper Dan Bradley. He was named in the league’s official team, proving popular amongst fans and managers.

In defence, two of Haverfordwest’s defenders are included as Miles John and Sean Pemberton are put together.

Attacking full-back Zac Brown takes his place in the team with a surprising seven goals this season.

Playing just in front of him is his teammate Nathan Logan who scored eight goals in the past campaign.

Despite suffering relegation with Cwmamman United, Ryan Thomas was named in the side. In his attacking role, he scored eight goals for Ryan Stephens side.

In his one and only season in the Cymru South, Ben Ahmun has been included after 11 league goals. He has since agreed to a move to JD Cymru Premier outfit Penybont.

He is joined up front alongside the division’s top goal scorer Mark Jones. The 31-year-old scored 32 times last season.

      1. I nominate David Lyons class act against the wellmen unfortunate side to play with and has gone on to sign with the runners up of the welsh premier.

  1. Swansea Uni Luke Martin, Dan Barnard and Dan Sheehan.
Only 2 goals conceded in big 4 games v Haverfordwest and Briton Ferry and one of those was an own goal

  2. Corey Shephard’s magic,
    He wears a magic hat,
And when he’s on the halfway line,
He says “i fancy that” Bang!!!!
    Goooooooooooooooooooooal.

  3. Surprised undy goalkeeper James smallcoombe didn’t get any recognition, without him, they would not be where they are. Could list a few teams in last 4 seasons who have tried to prize him away…

  4. Voted for right back Dan Sheehan Fabulous player – good luck Dan – extremely proud of you, you’ve grown through your own experiences, you rock bro keep it up x

  5. Miles John for me has been outstanding this season. Definitely deserves my vote and encourage those who have seen him play to vote for him too.

  6. Gavin Jones by a mile.

His 2 goals v Carmarthen Town in the Welsh Cup and man of the match performance was just the tip of the iceberg for this Welsh Prem bound youngster.
