Lee Kendall: Taffs Well appoint ex-Pontypridd Town manager
Taffs Well have appointed Lee Kendall as their new first-team manager.
The 39-year-old returns to senior management after leaving his post of first-team coach at Barry Town United.
He takes charge of his second post in senior management after previously managing Pontypridd Town.
In a four-month spell with the Dragons, Kendall staved off the threat of relegation by leading the club to safety, remaining unbeaten in nine of his 11 games of management.
Kendall takes over from Lawrence Badman who had taken the reigns of the Wellmen following the departure of Stevie Williams. Badman will remain at the club as assistant manager to Kendall.
“I am delighted to be appointed manager of Taffs Well,” said Kendall.
“Having worked and played in Welsh football for the majority of my career, I’ve always seen Taffs Well as a club with huge potential.
“Having worked at Barry Town United, with arguably one of the best young managers in Wales, I have gained a huge amount of knowledge during my time there.
“My ambition to manage a football club has always been there and now I am undertaking my UEFA Pro Licence, I look forward to the challenge ahead.
“I’d like to thank the Board of Directors at Taffs Well for this opportunity.”
The Wellmen are one of many clubs awaiting the decision of whether promotion and relegation will be implemented by the FAW.
