Taffs Well backroom staff announced as Lee Kendall appoints former Caerau Ely boss Craig Sampson
Taff’s Well manager Lee Kendall has added to his backroom staff by appointing former Caerau Ely boss Craig Sampson.
Sampson guided the Young Guns to the Cymru South last season after gaining promotion from Welsh Football League Division One.
But departed Cwrt-yr-Ala Road in November following a difficult start to life in the second tier, leaving the club eight points adrift of safety after losing nine of their first 11 league games.
And he will take now take up the role as first-team coach at Rhiw’r Ddar.
Kendall has also added Prasang Shrivastava, who worked alongside the former England goalkeeping coach at Pontypridd Town AFC, as the head of performance analyst.
Shrivastava works as an academy coach at Barry Town United – another one of Kendall’s former teams – alongside his studies at the University of South Wales.
Kendall said: “I’m delighted to get both Craig and Prasang on to our coaching staff.
“Craig brings great experience and Prasang provides quality analytical skills.”
Kendall was confirmed as the new Wellmen boss this week after taking over from Lawrence Badman, who has been appointed as the former Cardiff City goalkeeper’s assistant.
Taff’s Well finished in the JD Cymru South relegation zone following the curtailment of the 2019-20 season, although a decision on promotion and relegation is yet to be confirmed by the Football Association of Wales.
