Josie Green: Wales international signs new two-year deal with Tottenham
Wales international Josie Green has extended her stay with Tottenham by signing a new two-year deal with the Women’s Super League club.
The 27-year-old, who joined Spurs from Watford in 2016, will remain with the club until the summer of 2022 at least.
Green helped the north London outfit to promotion to the WSL in 2019 and signed her first professional contract ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.
She made 17 appearances in all competitions last season, including 12 starts in the top flight.
The 14-capped international was also named vice-captain last term and led Spurs against West Ham and Arsenal.
“I am really pleased to have signed a new contract with the club,” Green told the club’s official website.
“I feel that I am continually developing as a player and a big part of that is down to the staff and the environment around me at Spurs.
“I want to continue to grow as a player and focus on improving my game as much as I can to help the team progress further in the WSL.”
Green helped the club to a seventh-placed finish in the WSL last season before the campaign was curtailed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
