Airbus UK Broughton have signed Stuart Jones following his exit from Bala Town.

The 33-year-old joins the Wingmakers after spending the last eight seasons at Bala Town.

Jones was on loan at Flint Town United last season, helping them to promotion to the JD Cymru Premier.

He links up for a second time with manager Stephen O’Shaughnessy, who had previously worked at Bala during Jones’ time at the Gwynedd club.

“I’m very happy to be joining the club,” said Jones after making the move to The Airfield.

“I’ve played against Airbus for the last couple of years and been impressed by the standards set and the mentality of the club.

“It’s always been full of friendly faces and it has excellent facilities. So when the opportunity came it was a no brainer to sign, especially playing for the manager.

“I had a brief spell at Bala with him so I know what he expects from the lads so looking forward to the new season whenever that may start.”

The long-serving Bala centre-back is eager to get back to the Cymru Premier with Airbus UK after their relegation.

“My main aim for the season is to win the league and anything else I can get my hands on,” revealed Jones.

“It’s pointless starting the season wanting second best. I always aim at winning everything I enter and now especially that the club has been demoted that is to get the club back to the prem where it belongs.

“The fans can expect me to give nothing but 110 percent every time I enter the pitch, to give it all and hopefully score a few goals along the way.

“Fans who have watched me over the years will know what I’m about and hopefully like I said I can help get the club back into the prem and maybe a Europa trip.”

Airbus have also been boosted by the fact that Danny Edwards, Ryan Edwards, Ollie Lanceley and Steve Tomassen have all committed for the 2020/21 season.
