Llanidloes Town have announced the signing of Luke Boundford, following his departure from Aberystwyth Town.

The striker made 14 appearances for the JD Cymru Premier outfit, scoring twice.

Upon leaving the Seasiders, Boundford tweeted, “Just want to say a massive thank you to everyone at Aberystwyth Town. I really enjoyed the season before it was cut short because of COVID.”

“I met some great lads and I wish you all the best in the future,” he added.

The striker also has experience in the Cymru Leagues with Newtown, where he won the European play-offs in March 2015, going on to score the Robins’ first Europa League goal in a 2-1 victory over Valletta.

Boundford now joins the Daffodils, who are newly-promoted to the Cymru North, having won the Mid Wales Football League First Division.

Announcing the signing of the former Aberystwyth and Newtown striker, the club tweeted, “We are very happy to announce that Luke Boundford has agreed to sign for us for the forthcoming season after leaving Aber yesterday.”

“The son of a Llani legend and so much talent we are over the moon with this,” they added.
