Wigan Athletic forward Kieffer Moore is undergoing a medical at Cardiff City.
Moore had reported interest from a handful of Championship clubs but the Bluebirds look to have won the race for his signature.
The 28-year-old is expected to join Neil Harris’ side for £2m.
He had been a target for the Welsh side in January but they were priced out of a move.
Since Wigan went into administration, thus earning a 12-point deduction, resulting in relegation to League One, the club have had to sell players to balance the books.
A tweet from Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol, as well as a condensed report in their Transfer Centre, confirmed the news.
“Wigan Athletic forward Kieffer Moore on his way to Cardiff City for a medical,” tweeted Solhekol.
It added that the Lactics have set Moore an ultimatum of 17:00 to complete the deal.
