Cymru Premier legend takes up coaching role at Evans & Williams
Cymru Premier legend Gary Lloyd has joined the coaching staff of Evans & Williams.
He will work with first-team manger Wayne Jones and alongside assistant Stuart Rees.
The former Carmarthen man links up with the club for the inaugural season of the West Wales Premier League.
Gary’s son Ace, is part of the Under-15s squad, meaning two generations will be at the Carmarthenshire club.
In a short statement, the club said: “Our coaches, players and committee are delighted to have Gary on board and we’re sure his vast experience and knowledge will help drive the club forward.”
Lloyd is a Cymru Premier Hall of Hamer, having made over 500 appearances in the Welsh top flight.
He played 282 times for Barry Town United, placing him as their all-time appearance maker in the league.
Lloyd won seven league titles in eight years and has also won four Welsh Cups and six League Cups.
The 48-year-old is the only player to have been called up to the Welsh national team whilst playing in the Cymru Premier.
