Former Aber man Paulo Mendes joins Caernarfon Town

Caernarfon Town have completed the signing of midfielder Paulo Mendes.

The 27-year-old is the latest addition to the Canaries squad as they prepare for Saturday’s opening day fixture with Penybont.

Mendes left Park Avenue earlier this summer and has now put pen-to-paper with a new look Caernarfon side.

In a brief reveal on social media, the post unveiling him read: “ We are delighted to announce the arrival of Paolo Mendes for the upcoming season.

“The Portuguese midfielder has enjoyed two successful seasons with Aberystwyth in the Cymru Premier and we look forward to welcoming him to the Oval.

“Croeso Paolo!”

During his two seasons with Aber, he made 55 appearances, scoring nine goals in the process.

Mendes’ other experience in football include spells as Brackley Town, Colwyn Bay and Vauxhall Motors
