Connah’s Quay have signed former Bangor City midfielder Brayden Shaw.

Shaw was announced before the Nomads kicked off against Haverfordwest County on Sunday.

He made his debut with a 15-minute cameo in their 4-1 victory over the Bluebirds at the Bridge Meadow.

The 23-year-old joins the Cymru Premier champions having most recently played competitive football for Lancashire Amateur League outfit Old Blackburnians.

He had spent the earlier part of pre-season training with a Vanarama National League club.

He returns to the Welsh top flight after a two-year exile, where he was part of the Citizens side which finished second under Kevin Nicholson.

Shaw had played 22 times for Bangor City in the 2017/18 season after joining them from Accrington Stanley.

He later moved on to Cardiff City where he featured for their U23s side.
